| Course Objectives | The course aims to develop students’ critical understanding of how digital media shape public knowledge, attitudes, identities, participation, and behavior around social change and sustainability issues; to enable them to critically analyze narratives, social problems, and the positive and negative effects of digital media; and to build their ability to design and evaluate digital communication strategies and campaigns for social change. |

| Course Description | This course examines the relationship between digital media, social transformation, and sustainable\ndevelopment, covering sustainability communication, platform cultures, digital activism, influencer\ncommunication, white-greenwashing, and media information literacy. From a sustainability and\ndevelopment perspective, the course explores how digital media influence behavior, change life\nstyles, raise awareness, strengthen participation and support social and environmental change. The\ncourse is example- and case-driven, using real digital campaigns, movements, and media practices\nto connect theory with practice. |
